Retreats

Overview.
A retreat is a time for key members of an organization to detach from routine business, reflect on the status of the organization, make plans to adjust the organization that will improve performance, and prepare to reengage.  Retreats are traditionally done at a unique location away from the organization.  Typically there is a preparation phase before detachment, and typically there is a follow through after reengagement.  This time is often needed to let the dust settle from changes that have been made.  If the retreat is not under severe conditions, it is desirable that light scenarios be used to "break the state" of routine business and prepare for new thinking.
