CapacityWare™ Installation and Initial Orientation

 

A. Outcomes. Install the software and assist with LAN configuration if required. Provide at least one user with a fundamental orientation on critical elements they are likely to use at the level of usage they initially intend.

 

B. Methods/Agenda. The following is a brief checklist of activities to complete and topics to cover during an initial orientation session. This is not to limit dialog, rather to be sure that topics important to the user are covered so that the software can be used effectively at the outset.

1. Complete the Installation.

c. Record Registration Number and Computer Identification.

d. Complete "About" Configuration (if required).

e. Provide access keys (if required).

2. Assist with LAN Configuration (if required).

3. Provide Initial Orientation.

C. Resources. Installation is normally a quick and painless event. On occasion, the software may have difficulty with a specific computer configuration, or trouble navigating the LAN, if that option is exercised. It is desirable that an internal IT technician is present at the initial stages of installation in the event assistance is needed.
