OD Practitioner Forum

Every other month, ODI schedules a Practitioner Forum for those interested in th practice of organization development or any directly related field. The group consists of a stalwart core of regular professionals, and is augmented each month by invited guests. The whole idea is to exchange "best practice" ideas that emerge from the experience of group members. For many of those who attend, this event constitutes a unique professional development opportunity as well as a focused networking event. Topics of this half-day event include: Internal versus External Consulting, International Conference Reports, Best Practices, Industry Trends, Managing the Client/Consultant Relationship.


General OD Forum

In an effort to provide a no-cost orientation for targeted audiences, ODI also sponsors general organization development forums designed to acquaint participants with general organization development practices. Industry groups are invited on a rotating basis. Topics of this half-day event include: Getting the Right Person in the Right Job, Measuring Performance and Developing Capacity, Developing Organization Culture and Productivity, Planning - Simple and complex, Ten New Metrics for Leadership Success.


ODI Primer

From time to time, ODI develops a "best practice" in a particular client organization. When this occurs, ODI and the client co-sponsor a primer designed to report to members of the client niche specific features and advantages. Past Topics include: Public Education - A New Model for Leadership in Public Education, City Government - Developing Robust Neighborhoods, Hospitals - Bridging the Professionals Gap.


All ODI Forums are a part of ODI's community service to Hampton Roads, and are offered at no tuition.
